Hi there! I'm Danielle, a mom of four and speech language pathologist who has worked in the field since 2008. I have treated clients of all ages and abilities: from babies in the NICU with swallowing difficulties to adults in their nineties with aphasia and dementia- but my passion lies in the pre-school and school aged population, particularly in the area of literacy development and the impact speech sound disorders play. When my own son was diagnosed with Dyslexia, I became motivated to advocate for all children to receive specialized reading intervention, even if they're not getting it in their schools (which happens often).
As a mom, I understand that it can be scary when you think your child is not developing on track with their peers, but I want to let every parent reading this know that the first step is what you're doing right now- and that alone makes you a superstar mom or dad. When you reach out to Point Speech Pathology and Literacy Lab, you won't get a receptionist- you get me, and I am committed to helping your child communicate clearly and confidently.
Danielle holds her Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, with a concentration in Speech Language Pathology, her Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, carries the gold standard Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association, a New Jersey Department of Education State Certification as a Speech Language Specialist, and holds a New Jersey State medical license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Her clinical specialties are in the area of severe phonological process disorders, early literacy skills as well as cognitive care, memory and language support for adults.
