As a parent of a child diagnosed with Dyslexia in the third grade (after realizing that something was off as early as Kindergarten), I am especially passionate about early identification and intervention for literacy disorders.  So often I have worked with a child in private practice only to realize they are struggling not only with speech or language, but also with literacy.  As parents, we are not given a handbook to navigate the ins and outs of typical development in this area; oftentimes we trust that our child's teacher will "catch" any problems.  Too often, Dyslexia and related literacy disorders go unidentified or are identified very late within the school system, leading to long term academic, emotional and social consequences.  

Our Literacy Lab consists of highly trained professionals who specialize in literacy disorders in both adults and children.  We treat not only reading difficulties but also the underlying language-based challenges that frequently co-occur.  We offer comprehensive evaluation and treatment by qualified professionals who know how to best help your loved one.
